The 30-strong barangay membership of the Natalged a Lasam Council of Women converged at the WCSAT LARA Hall on March 17 to further advance their noble causes and to celebrate the National Women’s Month.

The Vice Mayor of neighboring Municipality of Lal-lo, Hon. Olive Pascual who is a staunch women advocate and a Zonta leader, was the guest speaker.

In attendance were Mayor Dante Dexter A. Agatep; Vice Mayor Randy C. Cambe; Sangguniang Bayan members Lilibeth B. del Rosario, Diocelyn B. Damatac, Emmanuel Agatep, Kasten Asuten, Federico Castro, and Rowell Constantino; as well as other men and women leaders of the town.

The afternoon started with video presentations on the strides that the Local Council of Women has been making in the following areas of community building, aligned with the Natalged a Lasam Development Goal Pillars (NLGP):

A > Agricultural Productivity

L > Livelihood

G > Good Governance

D > Drug-free Municipality

Mayor Dante Dexter A. Agatep delivered an impassioned speech: "I am extremely proud of the Natalged Women of Lasam. I feel triumphant with all the pride and honor they give Lasam. The women of Lasam are indeed limitless.”

The Mayor continued: “I assure the women sector that my administration will not waver in extending the necessary help and support for the various significant undertakings you may embark into. Please continue performing your important role in the community and causing the needed changes so that our beloved town of Lasam will continue to grow and prosper. Rest assured that I will always be here for all your endeavors. I may be a man but I believe in the women of Natalged a Lasam."

Over a thousand women came garbed in their dancing gears for the now much-talked about Line Dance Competition. A 20-30 strong members per barangay took turns in hitting the dance floor and the following emerged as the top five winners:

In celebration of the National Disaster Resilence Month 2022, the MDRRMO Lasam through Mr. Rudy Urian together with Lasam D.A.R.E Rescue 1204 through leadership of the MDRRMC Chairperson Eng. Mayor Dante Dexter A. Agatep spearheaded the conduct 1st D.A.N.D.E.K.S. (DRRMC Brgy. Challenge para iti Alistu nga pagsagana, Natalged nga panagresponde ken Disiplinado nga panagmanehar iti Emerhensiya, Kalamidad ken Sakuna) INTER-BARANGAY RESCUELYMPICS 2022.

Purpose / Objective of the activity:

• to further enhance the knowledge, attitude and skills of every Brgy. Response Team in ligned to emergency response, disaster preparedness and response
• to establish a Response Team for every brgy in order that their BDRRMC be operational and functional in times of emergency and disaster

Rules and Regulations

1. Participants must be 15 years-old to 60 years of birth of both gender.
2. Participants must check in at the starting line 20 minutes before the start.
3. Run T Shirt must be worn at all times during the race.

Registration

1. Available from the Office of the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson of every Barangay
2. For walk in participants, they may register and claim their t-shirts to the office of the Mayor through MS. CHERRYMIE BARUT.
3. A registration fee of 75.00 shall be collected per participant to cover a one piece free t-shirt.
4. Registration fee can be paid in the form of checks or cash to the Office of the Municipal Treasurer for the insurance of Official Receipt.
5. Deadline of registration is on June 3, 2022.

Personnel of Lasam Fire Station under the supervision of SFO3 Bernadette Q Salonga, Officer In Charge, were deployed infront of Lasam Central School for the Establishment of BFP First Aid Service Team (BFP- FAST)

and Fire Suppression Team relative to the implementation of National and Local Election 2022 in anticipation of any untoward incident or any emergency.

Namahagi ang Salun-at Ti Umili Lasam ng insecticide treated nets sa 30 barangay ng Lasam.Kabilang dito ang Sicalao na kung saan mahigit 400 na pamilya ang nabigyan.

Dahil sa unti unting pagtaas ng kaso ng Dengue sa ating bayan,naisagawa ang mga aktibidad na ito kasama ang pagbibigay ng aral o health teachings.

Pinapaalalahan parin po ang lahat na ibayong pag iingat ang kailangan. Panatilihin ang malinis at maayos na kapaligiran.Tandaan,walang lamok kung malinis ang ating paligid.Gayunpaman, pinapaalalahan din ang lahat na magsuot ng damit na may mahahabang manggas, magpahid ng mosquito repellant at gamitin ang mga mosquito treated nets na naibigay.
