Lasam-LGU has just accepted its Fully Compliant certificate from the Gawad KALASAG (Kalamidad at Sakuna Labanan, Sariling Galing ang Kaligtasan) of the Cagayan Valley Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CVDRRMC) in a ceremony held in Tuguegarao City last November 24, 2022.

With this recognition of the municipality’s Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and Office (LDRRMCO), every Lasameño should be assured that anti-disaster measures, as well as humanitarian assistance programs, are in placed in our town.

Lasam-LGU's disaster preparedness is evident from the Municipal advisories posted on the Lasam-LGU Facebook page, to the disaster rescue simulation contests, lectures, and drills that the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) regularly undertakes.

As Chairman of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), it is a-must for Mayor Dante Dexter A. Agatep, Jr. to conduct pre-disaster assessment meetings and visits to at-risk places whenever a weather disturbance threatens the municipality.

The 22nd Gawad KALASAG Seal for Excellence in DRRM and Humanitarian Assistance for the Local DRRM Councils and Offices category for Lasam-LGU is a testament to the fulfilment of the Natalged a Lasam Goal Pilar (NLGP) for Emergency Preparedness and Response. #
