In lined with the Natalged a Lasam Goal Pillar (NLGP) for Athletic Excellence, the Local Government Unit of LASAM (LGU-LASAM) supports various sporting tournaments across ages and sectors that are simultaneously being held in the municipality.
2nd DANDEX Inter-HS Volleyball Tourney
Just this morning, December 6, 2022, Mayor Dante Dexter A. Agatep officiated the Opening of the Second DANDEX Interhighschool Volleyball Tournament participated by all private and public high schools in Lasam. LGU executives Renato "Bongpy" Paat, Jr. and Jose Rebultan, Jr. also attended the Opening Ceremonies held at Centro 1 Multipurpose Center.
The Tournament was organized by Sanguniang Kabataan Federation President Jerwin A. Manuel, who heads the LGU-LASAM Committees on Youth and Sports Development.
The tournament took off on a high note with the first match between Nabannagan National High School and Sicalao Integrated High School. The Nabannagan team prevailed after fielding players with powerful kills.
40 Up Interagency Basketball Tourney
Just yesterday afternoon, the 40 and Above Interagency Basketball Tournament organized by the Lasam Basketball Referees Association, was officially opened also at the Centro 1 Multipurpose Center.
For the opening duel, the UNIFORMED Team won over the DEPED Team while the second match between the NATALGED and INTERFAITH was lorded over by the LGU-LASAM team with a comfortable margin.
U22 Interbaranggay Basketball Tourney
Last November 28, the Under 22 Interbaranggay Basketball Tournament was concluded with the action-packed championship showdown between Centro 1-Tapas and the Sicalao Panthers. The latter emerged victorious with the stellar performances of power duo in cord and in court, Jorlan and Jerico Ramos, who were proclaimed Finals MVP and Season MVP, respectively.
First DANDEX LGU-Lasam Sportsfest
Also on-going is the First DANDEX LGU-LASAM Sports Festival with four teams contending for the championship in basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and badminton, with limited show-off games of mobile legends (ML).
